I can't seem to stop lying to my wife and everyone else. I lie about things that have no consequence, I also lie about important things. I have been caught numerous times and I know one day my wife will leave me and take my son with her. She is also 24 weeks pregnant. I am disgusted with myself. What can I do to stop this before I lose everything?

Hi Jpeden,
Welcome to the forum and big respect on admitting you have a lying problem.
Maybe you lie because you are what I describe as - after deep research I did into the issue - a lying addict. To help you understand what this is and why lying addicts lie, here are 2 posts I wrote...

compulsive-lying/topic116107.html The tips, tools and techniques I describe work if you work them
Big Hug,

Thanks for the guidance. I have been lying to people for so long. How will anyone ever trust me again? The first time my wife met my mother she basically warned her that I was a liar and that conversation gets brought up a lot. I want to be the guy that everyone can count on. Lots of times I lie to buy myself time to do something I said I was going to do. Why do I do this?
