aweful slow.

Permanent Linkby whybother on Tue May 29, 2012 10:42 pm

It was not until I was poking round other people's blogs I realised that I have not entered a blog for some time.

There is no real excuse for this, except it seems to indicate my nickname.

To mitigate. I did not grow up with computers. Well perhaps I did. Only what now rests on your lap use to, in my childhood, more than fill your living room. So I learned my computer skills when the mouse was an optional extra. And there was no thought given to twitter or facebook. (I can't understand the need for either of these).

Another aspect of why I have been so slow to blog is that I utterly detest speaking about myself. Which is something I learn't in childhood.

I will try and do better.

Just getting started

I've noticed in the last few or so my imagination has returned. Don´t know why. Perhaps the depression I have suffered is lifting. But I am not disappointed it has come back from where ever it was holidaying.

Yesterday was a top day.

My therapist corrected a mistake he made six months ago and now I am able to proceed to the next stage of the process of gender re assignment. Leaving me with only one person to convince before meeting the surgeon.

The process in this country, I think usually, takes about three years. (Under two years is unlikely) For me it has been ten, and counting.

Then I believe I have found the second operating system for my computer. Dreamlinux. I´ll play with it for a week before attempting to install my first choice, Gentoo. ( the cheats way I stumbled across yesterday).

For those reading this NEITHER operating system is for anyone unwilling to gamble wrecking their hard drive (at the least) by giving the computer the wrong instruction. (even typos can create MAJOR problems).........

Now if you´ll excuse me I am off to gamble.
