“The Long Walk Home”

I’m in “school” again. More like a work/school hybrid. We’re planning a party for one instructor for later that evening. First, there is an event to attend. Humans are gathering in the basement hallways. I’m wearing a dress, but some others are dressed more casually.

More & more humans are filling in the narrow basement passages. There are even some friendly dogs gathering around & behind me. Some of the other humans are pursuing me. It’s unwanted. Once the other humans see me being pursued, they want to pursue me as well.

I’m leaving. It feels as if I’m walking in circles & getting nowhere. I’m finally reaching the entrance, which is also the exit, & able to reach the outdoors. I’m walking back to my apartment, but there are no sidewalks. I’m having to enter & exit buildings to make my way.

It’s difficult to walk in the heels I’m wearing, but I totter on. I’m entering the narrow staircase of a hotel, but a human stationed near the entrance informs me it’s 15 bucks just to enter the building. I’m turning around & leaving again.
