Someone is Sliding


Someone is sliding
My mail
Under
My door.

Sitting at my computer
I hear the surreptitious sound
Of paper quietly ---swish!
Sliding under my door

One quick flick of the fingers and wrist
And there it is.

An envelope on the floor

On this side of my door
Introduced against my will
Into my apartment!

This has already happened
Several times in the last three weeks

Someone opens my mailbox, takes out my mail, and slides it under my apartment door.
WTF?!


Once I got up quickly as soon
As I heard the sound
But, of course, when I looked through my peephole
The hallway was empty
No one was there.

All I heard was the sound of the apartment building door --- closing.

Then I looked back down at the envelope and stepped away
And left it on the floor.

It is still there.

Perhaps the postman is misdelivering your mail to a neighbor, so they then slide it under your door. Hope you find out what is going on. At least they aren't opening your mail.
