Soooooooo, I didn't get accepted into college yesterday, so I'll have to start in the fall. Which I'm okay with now, but it was very disappointing at the time. I can't seem to sleep well anymore. *Sighs* I think my body's giving up on me.
Anyhow, let's get to the reason for this post, shall we?
Today's topic is about supporters. There's a poll attached to it to just get a random estimate of about how many people usually have on their support team. But before you vote, let me define what I consider a supporter.
A supporter, by my definition, is someone who will be there for you no matter what happens. Now, don't get me wrong, there are going to be times where you'll do something wrong and your supporter will point it out and make an argument of what you should've done, but that's just being a good supporter. Even though you did something wrong, they're not sending you away, and they're not leaving your side.
A supporter can be someone paid to listen and help you, although, a REAL supporter doesn't want your money in order to help you. They want to help you because they care.
For me, I say that I have about 1 REAL supporter. It's rather sad.... Although I have like 6 other people who come talk to me to "help" me, they get paid to do it and so it doesn't feel real. Then I have my mom, my two sisters, and my grandmother, who are supposed to be supporters, but they're not. My mom doesn't want to here it if I'm not doing well everyday. My younger sister is too caught up with boys to listen. My older sister is too caught up with P, my nephew, in order to listen to me. And my grandmother just hates me. Which leaves only my friends as supporters who don't get paid to let me vent. But I only have on true friend......
But enough about me and my life. What about all of you? Do you have supporters in your life? REAL supporters? Or are you like me, who really only ever has one person to go to? Vote in the poll or leave comments. Thanks.
