There is a thread on Authors and ASPD, Stephen King is mentioned, however I don't see any history of conduct disorder.

Charles Manson is another one. Aggressive personality, a long history of criminal activity and conduct disorder, probably meets every single one of the criteria for ASPD. Potentially more severe childhood trauma leading to a conditioned response where blaming society in general highlights his anti social nature.

There is much about Manson's early life that is in dispute because of the variety of different stories he has offered to interviewers, many of which were untrue. Manson's mother was allegedly a heavy drinker.[5]:136–7 According to Manson, she once sold her son for a pitcher of beer to a childless waitress, from whom his uncle retrieved him some days later.[12]

By burglarizing a grocery store, Manson obtained money that enabled him to rent a room.[5]:136–7 He committed a string of burglaries of other stores, including one from which he stole a bicycle, but was eventually caught in the act and sent to an Indianapolis juvenile center. He escaped after one day, but was recaptured and placed in Boys Town. Four days after his arrival there, he escaped with another boy. The pair committed two armed robberies on their way to the home of the other boy's uncle.[5]:137–146

Caught during the second of two subsequent break-ins of grocery stores, Manson was sent, at age 13, to the Indiana Boys School, where, he would later claim, he was brutalized sexually and otherwise.[12] After many failed attempts, he escaped with two other boys in 1951.[5]:137–146
In Utah, the three were caught driving to California in cars they had stolen. They had burglarized several filling stations along the way. For the federal crime of taking a stolen car across a state line, Manson was sent to Washington, D.C.'s National Training School for Boys. Despite four years of schooling and an I.Q. of 109 (later tested at 121),[5]:137–146 he was illiterate. A caseworker deemed him aggressively antisocial.[5]:137–146

This interview is an example of his anti social views. Persecution, blame on the general populace, extreme anger.

He is distinctly different meeting the fifth criteria of the DSM for ASPD, in regards to Kurt Kobain and Richard Pryor as he is instead a great threat to others indirectly and directly, and himself, whereas the others were simply a harm to themselves, unless you consider the influence of rock music as significant.

5. reckless disregard for safety of self or others;

His ASPD is also most likely co-morbid with Psychopathy.

Yes, his mother tried to trade him in for a pitcher of beer when he was a kid (not that i can blame her for that).

Sure, I could see a co-morbitity between ASPD and BPD with regards to Kurt Kobain. He does fit ASPD, and without knowing the finer details regarding his personality, which appears to me to be highly rebellious and anti-social, he could be a cross between the two. He doesn't meet the psychopathy requirements, for sure.

There is evidence that suicide is higher among those diagnosed with ASPD and co-morbidity with BPD is prevalent.

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/20445838

RESULTS:
ASPD was present in 113 subjects (35.3%). There was no gender-based prevalence difference. Offenders with ASPD were younger, had a higher suicide risk, and had higher rates of mood, anxiety, substance use, psychotic, somatoform disorders, borderline personality disorder, and ADHD. Quality of life was worse, and their LSI-R scores were higher, indicating a greater risk for recidivism. A subanalysis showed that offenders with ASPD who also had ADHD had a higher suicide risk, higher rates of comorbid disorders, and worse mental health functioning.

CONCLUSION:
ASPD is relatively common among both male and female inmates and is associated with comorbid disorders, high suicide risk, and impaired quality of life. Those with comorbid ADHD were more impaired than those without ADHD. ASPD occurs frequently in prison populations and is nearly as common in women as in men. These study findings should contribute to discussions of appropriate and innovative treatment of ASPD in correctional settings.
