Can sex become boring?

As one not so experienced in sex however no longer a virgin i find it hard to imagine but hey would be nice to know.
while reading through a variety of topics and forums it seems to be a theme that keeps being brought up, the constant overrating of sex and how boring it is, however this must be said that these comments are mainly from women so gender difference can also be commented on can someone answer?

i think sex is more boring for women since men are generally promised an orgasm while women are not. but i have heard men say sex is overrated as well.

re: "men being promised an orgasm" even that isn't always enough to get excited about, and I don't need a woman for that anyway. In fact it's not even a guarantee if the man is sufficiently bored.

Sex always becomes boring if you've been with the same person long enough. More so if you're into vanilla sex. It's always best to find someone who's into kink.
