does your job involve working with others? if so, maybe let them know when your birthday is soon approaching, and maybe they'll celebrate with you!

I understand how badly birthdays can make you feel, and I'm sure that many feel that way as well (myself included, but it's mostly for different reasons than what you stated). It can be very painful to spend your birthday in your own solitude, which may usually be welcoming, but not on that day.

What if you had people to celebrate your birthday with you, but not in the exact way you hoped for (ie. singing the blink 182 song)? Would you be content with that?

Don't worry about your friends, if your friends get mad or are not supportive they aren't true friends and you can do better.

As for the restaurant just ask to go- tell your parents that is something you'd really like for your birthday.
