Especially those who haven't nurtured, and haven't been given acceptance from their parents.
And for those, acceptance from friends can help.
But changes in how society as a whole views things, takes decades.
And the best one can do to help speed things along, is to live a good life and focus on one's own personal growth.
Society does change.
Just look at all that has been accomplished - and look at what has not been accomplished.
Slavery has been abolished, and black people are accepted as equals to whites.
And yet some don't like black people.
And you can't force their opinion to change, because some actually do need somebody other than themselves to hate.
I know things have changed. But for pedophiles I'm afraid things are changing in the wrong direction. The panic in society is only growing. We will see more and more harsh reactions, and we may lose more and more of our rights. Perhaps one day just being a pedophile will lead to monitoring and registriation.
If we don't give ourself a voice in the debate, people will only talk ABOUT us. And they will talk about us as evil perverts. No one dares to defend us.
And I'm not thinking of myself. I'm thinking of the young pedophiles. I don't want them to get the life I did. Why not give them the chance we didn't get?
