That very grey area...*Trigger Warning*

... Of a subject many of us are familiar with. This post will be talking about almost realistic dolls of a young age, which I hasten to add are *not* designed for sex, and applied connotations and usages of such which I recently stumbled across, so if you think this may trigger

So, don't ask me how, but I recently stumbled across this

Which leads one to investigate here

They’re made to feel and look like real children and come with heating instructions and moveable joints. Before you berate me for immediately assuming these dolls are for paedophiles; there is no male counterpart...

The company clearly states that the dolls are not to be used for sexual purposes, but if they're just kids' toys, why the hell would you dress them up in matching white lace lingerie sets and give them teeny weeny awkward nipples? The photo galleries used to promote the dolls on the manufacturer's website are also enough to creep out even the hardiest internet veteran.

Generally, it is legal to produce, sell and buy these dolls in the UK, though obviously the lines begin to blur when it comes to their usage and how they’re displayed. How is there a loophole in UK law big enough for a life-size child sex doll to fit through? I caught up with Shin Takagi, the owner of Trottla and the guy who makes the dolls, to find out how his business continues to operate.

And the opinions expressed in the prior are suggestive of use in sexual ways, despite the fact that the manufacturer specifies that they aren't designed with that capability. And some of the opinions expressed by people at the bottom of the page are interesting and I thought it deserved a rational conversation. Do you think these dolls, if modified either at manufacture or afterwards, would appease the need of paedophiles without exaccerbating it and making them want to 'upgrade' to something a little more living. As, on a personal level, the galleries they have of their dolls, some a little more risky than others, did exactly the same for me as picures of real people in similar states of dress and so, in my opinion, I do believe that with how good the dolls are that it'd be enough to satisfy what is currently unsatisfiable without *serious* negative repurcussions, on multiple levels. Which I again hasten to add, I do *not* in any way condone and do not think anyone should do with a real, living child.

Discuss.

To be quite honest I think these are a good thing for pedophiles to have, if it prevents us from acting out with children then I say go ahead and let people buy them that are atrracted to children, yet on the flipside I think that if a pedophile does do things sexually with this doll that it might drive them more towards the path of acting out sexually with a child. To be even more honest I found the pictures to be very erotic and would love to have one of those dolls, but when you move it would be hard to hide them so nobody would see it.

Yes, howard, if I am honest I may like to own one of these myself, and yes, it would be rather hard to hide if you move. But, as was pointed out to me in a pm, there is a chance these could be considered illegal in some countries. Generally speaking in the uk it would be, but it all depends on the usage and way it was displayed, and so are still out of reach for many. As with drawn images of a certain kind are illegal in many places, whether drawn realistic or otherwise.

The dark-haired dolls are beautiful. I don't want a doll. Instead, I want to be as beautiful. The only changes I want is for the pudendal cleft to be a bit higher (though no one else but me would see it) and for the nipples to not be developed at all.

I did not give it much thought until now. Having the body of a prepubescent female would be a life-long dream come true but how much better would it be if the body is Japanese?

The dolls particularly look beautiful in a school uniform or regular street clothes. If I have that body, I would definitely want to get school uniforms as well as regular street clothes.

Appoligies to the Mods, I was uncertain about the links and had thought about putting trigger warning in the title, but again, was unsure if if was enough to warrant it. Next time I am unsure I shall ask first, just in case.

Yes indeed Cas, I'm sure most of us might like one, but, I posted this to make a discussion on wheher people think these would be helpful, or detrimental, for paedophiles to own in an attempt to curb their urges, not a shopping list. And so, if discussion does not occur at some point soon I shall be asking the mods to lock the thread altogether.

I pretty much agree with everything Howard said.
But for me, It would only satisfy me sexually. A doll is no different than porn. with porn you can use it when you need to and put it away when your finished. A doll could never give you the feelings of joy that you get when spending time with a real child.
I don't think I would want to own one. I think it could be nice to maybe rent one. I just think it would be creepy having a life size doll in my house. I would be afraid of it getting possessed and killing me in my sleep.

Well I want to build a robot that looks to minimum details and feels, acts, has a mind of a child. A robot that would be like a real human, who would develop memories, feelings. You get the point. :) It would be cool lol. Would that be creepy? And I think you are so friggin cute with your fears :3
I'm alone by choice. It's just not my choice.

D.I.D:

Kenichi (5 year old), Venus (6 yo boy/robot), Ciel (18 yo man), Chi (20 something woman), Kengi & Gigi (Twins, 13 yo boys), Budo & Max (Twins, 10 yo). Pepper (Host, 19 yo), Lissa (3,000 year old angel), Keanu (3 yo boy), Kim (8 yo girl).

Well, once you start delving into the realms of AI it starts getting all cloudy again. On topic though, do you think it would help or hinder?
