The Other Shoe?

My divorce is final.
I got my final decree.
I received my first alimony check.
I've got a lease on a new place to live.
I'll be moved out by Christmas, assuming no SNAFUs.
My moods are starting to lighten up.
Everything seems like it's getting better.

So, why am I waiting for the other shoe to drop?

My ex-wife is likely BPD and delusional.
She is paranoid that I'm going to kill her.

I ...

Struggling with going NC with Narcissistic Mother

Hello all,

I am new to these forums, so please be gentle.

I am the only child of a Narcissistic mother, and was raised by her as a single parent. There were two other family members who also helped raise me, both were predatory - but hid it. Growing up my Mother was very quick tempered and fast to hit. She seemed to enjoy bullying me and threatening me. I was nervous and fearful of ...

Can pwBPD forgive and move on?

One thing that is very obvious about my H is his inability to forgive anything....even after a person apologizes. At the time he may say he accepts the apology, but within days/weeks/months not only is he bringing the subject up again, he'll tell you that you didn't apologize (or really mean it). This is an endless cycle.

NO! Not another does my GF have BPD Post *tw* moved to soff

***moved to significant others, family & friends***

Before I begin, I would like to apologize for clogging this forum with another, " does my significant other have BPD?" I don't want to offend or insult those suffering from it. I don't want you to think I'm just taking one behavior and sticking a label on my girlfriend, because it's the easy thing thing to do. I just would like some advice/guidance from those who are ...

Happy Birthday to Me!

Hey, everybody! Today is my birthday!

It is the same day that Walt Disney was born in 1901.
It is the same day Prohibition was repealed in 1933.

Anybody want to guess what I got for my birthday present?
It came in the mail today! It's got a shiny, gold seal and a judge's signature on it!
My birthday present was... drum roll, please!...

DIVORCE PAPERS!

I kid you not!

I think I want to ...

Dealing with my NPD mom

I'm relatively new to the idea of my mother having NPD. We got into a very heated argument over a month ago, and I got so upset that I googled everything I could think of to try and get an answer to how I was feeling. The way that she was acting hurt me in a way that confused me, and I guess I just needed a reason for it. I typed in the words ...

Advice for Closure

Eighteen months ago I ended a near two year relationship with a woman (30) who I recently realized was a narcissistic psychopath. I am only writing here to ask if there is anything I can do to have a sense of acceptance of the time we spent together because I am left with a complete wasted feeling.

I have a new girlfriend who I do not feel appropriate talking with about this because it seems ...

Really hurt by someone with Asperger's :(

He with Aspergers, was so affectionate and loving. He is very high functioning. Intelligent, witty, socializes really well with his group of friends. He is slightly awkward socially but I find that adorable. He can go on about a topic about birds, insects for science for ever and ever and I loved to listen. When we first dated, he was so sweet and responsive in person. He was very affectionate, which I also loved. When ...
