I was declined by the British army because i was diagnosed with asperger's at just 9 years old. At the time i had to go to a school type of thing with people who were around 18 years old and i didn't really talk to them much apart from roughly 2 people who were my age at the time.

Im physically and socially awkward and have a terrible memory for facts - I tend to think in abstract concepts. All of this makes for lousy conversation, and few of my peers would enjoy ...

I always enjoyed the vacuum cleaner sound and hairdryer sound. I remember sometimes following my mom around while she was vacuuming the house when I was little. That, and the warm air that came out of the vacuum cleaner.

I've been recently declined for the army due to having asperger's syndrome, but i think that i may of had a misdiagnosis. The army is a piece of my heart which makes me feel really emotional due to the fact i cannot join.

The book I was recommended has been insightful and interesting though I admit I have not been able to pick up and read lately.
But here is what I can tell ...

Over the last few weeks I have been REALLY down...Don't know why, I just have. This seems to happen a lot. And just now I realized that I am no longer sad, but really giddy.

HOW did I notice this? I was sitting on my bed and I went "leileileieleieieleie" and it made me feel really happy..lol I think I might do it again.

I think I'm manic depressant...it runs in the family.

what's your opinion on telling coworkers of your diagnosis?
