Well, yes the book was written in the 80's but was updated in 2004. Anyway, the relation to the medical term "Narcissistic Personality disorder" is big. Our understanding of NPD fits exactly to the description of "The psychopathic narcissist" in his book. "The borderline character" in the book refers to BPD. I highly recommend the book, reading it you will find answers to all your questions concerning NPD. Every single statement in the book makes you say "This is me" and is backed up by completely logical explanations. In addition, Alexander Lowen was one of Reich's students and leading practitioner of Bioenergetic Analysis.
