My belief is that they always knew there were never any WMDs there, and - yes - part of why they invaded Iraq was because of oil. You see, Saddam Hussein was threatening to quit the buying and selling of oil in the US Dollar, and wanted to use a different currency instead. This would have resulted in the US losing lots of money by having to pay more to import oil. Also, I am sure that there was a bit of revenge at play behind George Bush's motives to attack them because, years earlier, George Bush's father had failed in his attempt to overthrow Saddam.

George Bush Jnr. is arguably the most incomptent president the USA has ever had.

thats a very good point actually, i forgot about his dad.

i dont think it helped our case in england/ island for you lol when tony blair just did everything with bush, it was like bush had control over blair asell which i didnt like. but then i suppose that gordon brown isnt much better at running the country than blair with all the mess ups recently. at least he had the balls to not kiss bushes ass all the time lol.

i think at least some of the motive now is to help iraq and the other countrys which is a step in the right direction i feel. except it would have been alot better to leave saddam in charge and somehow maybe work with him, if that was in any way possible, because i think he kept all the people in check a little, and now he is gone, we cant control the situation.

i may be a little off on my knowledge about things here because i dont often watch the news and i usually get it from listening to what other people say

The thing about Britain is that it still likes to think of itself as a great nation, despite the fact that it is continually on the downward spiral. The Brits simply don't want to let go of their pompous attitude, and their governments finances are so stretched trying to keep this 'joke' alive. Why can't all nations just be peace-faring ones like Ireland?

if i was 18 i would drink to that lol.
im definatly not patriotic, not for england, ireland, america anyone. i dont like patriotism because all it does is increase the already too big gap between alot of countrys. there would be less wars if everyone was less, excuse my french lol, up their countrys arse. and yes england has gone to the dogs a bit lately lol. maybe it wouldnt if the government wasnt in denial at the start.

maybe it would have been better if we all lived back in time on pangia lol in 1 massive country, everything equal and shared in 1 country with 1 government and no dictators and i dont mean like comunism lol because that doesnt work some people are just greedy, still capitalist and with a combination of all good parts of every countrys government. completely ideal lol. we would probably advance alot faster aswell because more money could be spent on research for solving real problems than weapons. anyway ill stop before i start on another rant again lol.

Living on Pangaea would be rather interesting, considering the dinosaurs were around at that time. I'm sure we'd have killed them all off by now. The brain is mightier than the - ummm - claw after all.

The idea of the EU is good but there are still 'top' nations that ar not part of it. Actually, two of the best countries in the world (According to The Economist) are in Europe, but are not in the EU: Norway and Switzerland.

lol i meant without dinosaurs and with 1 government of humanity. i think that way we would be alot happier and probably progress quicker aswell because there would be less of a divide so people would maybe be a little more willing to work together.

anyway what you said kinda reminded me of this:

http://www.tvokay.com/redir4.php?l=aHR0 ... RvcGxheT0x <--- this is better quality but might need you to install the stupid zango thing. zango is clean but quite annoying at times with searches.

http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid ... 7514635043 <--- no zango :D but bad quality :(

its quite interesting, but slightly annoying where they go on about it like its real

In the first video it is stated that we may soon discover life in another solar system, but this is very unlikely. Why? - because the nearest solar system is at Proxima Centauri. Whilst that is unlikely to harbour life, it is still 4.44 light years away. As such, even getting to their - our nearest neighbour - would take much longer than a human lifetime. It's just not practical at this time.

What has happened here on Earth is utterly and bafflingly amazing, with regard to life. The chances of it occuring anywhere else in the Universe, to this level of complexity (i.e. humans and mammals) is slim. However, I do firmly believe that there is other life out there, perhaps simple forms. There are, after all, more stars in the Universe than there are grains of sand on all of the beaches on Earth.

Near Death Experiences, in my opinion, are nothing more than dreams. For example, a person could be clinically dead, but their brain might still be active, sending nerve impulses throughout it. As these nerve impulses are sent, they create memory just as normal. If the person then comes 'back to life', they will remember the Near Death Experience that they had.
