Thank you very much for your warm reply.
Yes, everyone is different - this is a big truth.
I have been in GA one time and I felt so disconnected to them it was disappointing. Maybe my relation to gambling is different than most people's. We can all share horror stories, but the experience, the reasons, the aim, the feelings, thoughts and urges are different for the most part.
Foe example I find smoking a much harder habit to quit than gambling.
Sorry for sidetracking the topic.

Hi everyone. Just for me a small update, as I like to share (and don't have that many places to talk openly).
Gambling free since 3.5 months......
My brain is screaming, think about the slots and BJ I used to play. Of course now I have a "situation" at my job and some personal wifey problems and my chemicals thinks hey, why not relax a bit with cards or something? That will take my mind off..
Hmpf, no, i resist. Can't get any secret money, which is great. ANd I don't want to keep feeding stupid casino bosses.
so yeah.....

Marathon , you're doing great !
3 and a half months about equals this many days ...

Don't let the addiction's lies suck you in . Remember - there is no day so bad that gambling cannot make it worse . You will make it through this , gamble-free and stronger than ever .

It is 5 weeks today. The longest I have gone gamble-free is 4 months 11 years ago due to being a new mother. I've been a compulsive gambler for 20 years. I'm feeling good, do have moments where an urge creeps up but handling it. The first time in a looooonnngg time where I actually feel hope.
