I only carry $10 so if my coworkers go out to lunch I have money to eat with them

36 days.. It's a good feeling I can sit in a casino and have lunch and be normal and not have the urge to waste money. It be nice if more people commented on these forums

I agree , Joe . There are periods where this forum gets quiet . It sometimes picks up around January - February , not long after New Year's Resolutions are made . January 1st , 2015 was my official "quit date " and I started posting here not long after that .

Sometimes people come here for support and help but feel too embarrassed to come back after a relapse . We welcome all - the successful , the struggling , the relapsed - without judgement . All you need is the desire for a life free of gambling and we'll be here for you .

Relapsing is embarrassing for sure. But maybe the 3rd or 4th relapses is what's going to get you motivated to change a part of you that's been a normal in your life.

120 days no bets!
I will repeat myself again. The major factor that stopped me from placing any bets was forgetting about my loss. I know its hard but it worked for me.

Great update Yahoo!

Forgetting about our loss is a tough thing to do, but it is a huge step.

1. It reduces the likelihood of chasing
2. It stops yourself from beating yourself up.

Congrats on the amazing job!

Thanks NSR. Lovely cake. :D

I believe you all can do it just like how I have managed to.
Stop focusing on gambling and the thoughts that come about it. Switch your mine to something else.
Take care and I wish you all the best. :)
