Trauma

Postby KansasCatlover » Thu Nov 03, 2005 5:19 am

Hi again, PsiWraith and stolen. PW, I am wondering why your mother was swinging you around by your feet. Was this supposedly a fun time for the two of you or was it scary for you when she did this? Was your head split open when you hit the table, any stitches, loss of consciousness, trip to the ER, etc?(trauma?) Also, how many months have you been seeing your psychiatrist and are you still finding it beneficial?

in town

Postby PsiWraith » Thu Nov 03, 2005 5:43 am

Well, my mom was in town for a visit (she left me with my grandmother when I was a baby and split) and she thought it would be funny.

Of course, that was only that time. Over the course of our "relationship" she has caused me to hit my head multiple times, have an allergic reation to milk, taken me to the airport and allmoast caused permenent hearing damage...etc...I don't actualy remember these things though...I was too young.

I'm not sure if my half brother had any of these experiances however. But she did lose custody to his dad (they devorced and she was ruled an unfit mother).

*sigh* but I still love the old gal. :)

Yeah, they allow for a certain level of honesty that I can't usualy have with those that know me.

Trauma

Postby KansasCatlover » Thu Nov 03, 2005 5:55 am

AHA! The traumatic childhood unfolds. Even the things you don't remember can leave a lasting impression on you as a child. What you have said is enough to make me think that you had the kind of trauma in your life to cause you to suffer some kind of mental or emotional damage. I'm glad you have your psychiatrist to talk with. I hope you feel comfortable enough to discuss these events with her/him. It can be a liberating and life-altering experience. Now off to bed with me! Goodnight.

Hey PsiWraith,

I totally reconise myself in your story about "someone roaming around in the head", exept my alter is a male (I'm a female).
He helps me overcome situations I can't deal with.
I've not been diagnosed with DID, but I do have a personality disorder.
I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one...

I'm not the kind of person who forgives very easy, but I can tolerate it. So, you have bitch as an Alter? I have a Sociopath as an Alter.
Katlin was her name and yours kevin? Well, my name is Bianca and my Alter is Raven. Pleased to meet you two.
Don't feel scared or offended.
Well, hope to read you soon.

yep, Katlin...

Postby PsiWraith » Sat Nov 19, 2005 3:15 am

Katlin embarraced? Never. ^_^

Me on the other hand...eh...

A psychopath? That sounds bad...Hope you've talked her/him out of being, uh, crazy?

Ok, I have no idea what I'm talking about. (well I never do, but that's another story...)

Yep, I'm Kevin, Katlin sometimes goes by "PsiWraith" (hence the screen name) And sometimes I call the two of us "Daemon Incarnate". (Weird? Maybe. But so am I. Katlin would kill me in my sleep if I called her weird though, so I wont.)

No, Raven is a observing, ready to do what needs to be done kind of Sociopath. He (we) never killed anyone.
I'm not scared of him, he protects me against anyone. I feel safe with him.
But he can be very dominant too, at times, when something's not going the way he wants it to be going.
How old is Katlin? Raven is going to be 28 soon, 11 months younger then I am actually.
He's been "around" me forever.
