PG issues creating chaos *HUGE trigger

Grrrr. Maybe this was a sign not to post. I got logged out after writing this looooong post which just poof, disappeared. Moderators, maybe you should mention this flaw to your programmers. The original message should be held in the buffer even if the user needs to re-login.

From Eileen:

Help. I am way over my head trying to treat this group. T on vacation.

The problem - pregnancy causing physical sensations drawing too much attention on particular parts of the body coupled with visits to/from family members during holidays and recent revelations in therapy.

Moderator, please delete this post if it is inappropriate, I have been days deciding whether to post but I am just too alone with this. I need feedback. But just writing is helpful too. :(

What do I do? I already called the p-doc who said up the anti-psychotic (this was prescribed PRN in low doses for anxiety, but when I mentioned that it has never worked for the "voices" as he suggests [why idk b/c HE is the one who said we're not schizo], he just said that maybe the dose was too low). So I did that but it was too sedating for work and since I am a "voice" and I'm still here lol, I guess it doesn't work for that either! I will up the dose again this weekend but I'm not hopeful for that solution.

Hey there InfinitD,

I wish I had some advice to give you. Unfortunately I am not familiar with this stuff. What is PG? At first I thought you meant the PG rating on a movie...I just want you to know that I read your post and I hear you.

Hugs if wanted :|

InfinitD, that is overwhelming information you now have, all of you presumably.

Can you keep talking to Meagain about the current situation? Reassure her that things are not what she thinks they are, ask her to keep listening to you. Sometimes you can talk down an alter (or a outside person) if you just keep talking and keep trying. People and alters get lost in their terror, but if you call them by name and tell them calmly how it is, sometimes it can bring them back. She is clearly in great pain. She feels shame that she absolutely does not deserve to feel.

Is the antipsychotic doing anything for you? Individuals can respond well to this type of drug, but they're often strong. In lieu of being able to do anything else, doctors often suggest a change in medication of some kind. But it should be something you feel is a good idea and would work for you.

Although it probably doesn't help, I imagine most of here have gone through periods of chaos, where we don't think we're going to make it from day to day. Then that period ends as they always will. It's not much solace but you're not alone. If you're up for it, keep posting.

Hi. Thank u all for your support.

Johnny Jack. I should mention that none of those who did not know before now know. Brian is vigilantly blocking everyone especially DeAnna. As soon as we get what is needed here he will probaby have us delete this post to ensure no more chaos is created later. Not that he has to do that he can keep even items in plain sight out of awareness if he wants but it will be easier on him and less prone to accidental discovery.

I tried setting up dinner and lunch meetings with friends. That seemed to help DeAnna stay in control but her friends all live in other towns. Last night''s meds made no difference but I'll try again.

Woah. I read the original post several times before and got nothing more than "okay, she's pregnant and experiencing typical pregnancy issues". I had nothing much to say about that. Now I read it and Holy Crap there is some nasty trauma there. Okay... I am not sure the antipsychotic medication at any dose is going to do any good whatsoever with this. I am inclined to think the psychiatrist is an ignoramus.

Do you have a good relationship with your midwife or OB? Please, please put her in the picture. If you cannot talk to her yourself about these very painful parts of your history, is there someone in your life who could speak for you? Can you get rid of the dog crate for the time being or send the dog away? Or change the crate in some way so that it is feels safer? A crate is a safe place for a dog. Would your therapist come to your home to work with you on this? Or help you put these alters in a safe place inside for the remainder of the pregnancy?

Post more, so we perhaps can find more ways to help.

Okay NOW I understand. I am so sorry about all this InfinitD. It's just plain awful. Please follow the others' advice and stay strong, you have already proven yourself to be so.

I put the crate out of sight. Now that we're back it's not needed anyway.

You're right. The drugs are still not helping. I kind of doubted they would, too.

Meagain is still out of touch but the weekend makes it easier as we can put more energy toward calming activity. Though morning sickness doesn't help. I'm realizing that keeping her warm is helping. That weekend incident was in Jan and she was made to be unclothed the whole weekend so that the cold snap we're getting today started her up a bit. (it's TX so it's really not that bad but being true Texans we r all intolerant of cold under normal conditions)

Just a thought - do any of u all have that ability of Brian's to make obvious things out of awareness? For example, DeAnna kept "losing" her meds but it was actually kind of interesting because they were there all the time. She even picked them up but Brian just whispered "thats the other ones" so she kept looking.
