awards for your alters

Postby Johnny-Jack » Thu Nov 24, 2011 4:02 am

Each of our parts have value to the body. Would anyone like to recognize an alter for their contribution to your system? A blue ribbon for something they've done particularly well. Acknowledgment for remarkable self-control?

I'd like to award Little John a gold star for his incredible patience in waiting to receive the attention he has so long deserved. I'd like to give Adam a blue ribbon and a coupon for his willingness to take over the body each and every night and allow us to fall into a healthful sleep within 5-10 minutes, something I have virtually never been able to do throughout adulthood. The coupon will be redeemable this weekend at the toy store for another stuffed animal of his choice -- or anything else that catches his eye.

I like this!

I want to award Jackie with a medal of honor and a purple heart. I misinterpreted her role at the start and now that I have gotten to know her, I was very wrong. She is a war hero. I am thankful for her and wouldn't be here today without her in my life.

I love you, Jackie.

Hmmm...geez, yeah. Mr.Lee and Charlie get a gold medal for getting in my face and waking me up. Banshee a pink ribbon for literally waking me up when I go all doubty. I'll make Little some bacon, for being so goofy, I'll try to not be so afraid of her laughter. Rider gets a trophy for keeping me in check.

OK. I'll give this a shot.

I'd like to give Alice a gold rosette for being so brave and deciding to come through on a couple of occasions when Anger is 'acting out' to stop him from putting the body in danger.

I'd like to give Jason a manly handshake and hug for helping our therapist with a few pointers by email the other day. Much appreciated.
