There are many similar conditions to DID, and one that struck me as a possibility for you was PSD, which is common for those with PTSD. It involves two parts, one ANP (apparently normal part) and one EP (emotional part). The ANP's job is keeping the body/mind safe and functional. ANP's tend to be detached and numb, avoiding emotion in order to keep "normal" function going, and EP's are the parts that remember and hang on to trauma and are more about emotion than function. Perhaps the person you felt like you were before, that didn't understand people was an ANP, and for some reason now your EP is playing a greater part.

What does PSD(blue underlined) mean?
thx

PSD = Primary Structural Dissociation

1) Primary Structural Dissociation (PSD)
PSD - Involves one limited EP and one predominant ANP such as found in simple acute stress disorder and PTSD. ANP is detached and numb, characterized by partial or complete amnesia of trauma. EP is usually limited in scope, compared to ANP, and is hyper-amnesic and re-experiences trauma.

Exactly! I think many of us feel this way about ourselves! Just give us a correct answer, so we can dig in and work on fixing it. But that answer needs to come first.
