'm not quite sure why someone would suddenly jump all over a poster either. It would be different if it was a face we were used to. But at least it opened up a few others and allowed them to voice their opinions; it helped them become stronger in their will as well.

It was my intent. It only takes one person to break the ice. Then everyone can push through. You may hate me, you may think I'm rude, But the fact stands what I said was true.

I also don't see the problem with EP/ANP. Looking in peoples signatures and seeing it helps to understand the alters that they have. If an EP posts a fairly emotional or angry or maybe even a bit inappropriate post, we can see that it's an EP and perhaps be a bit more leniant because we know these particular people have had it hard. It makes it easier. I don't see why people are complaining.

Did you feel validated when you read the post, then labeled your alters? then found you had the right number of this and that? Some people don't get that validation, some people find they don't add up. That's why that particular thread was such an unfortunate mistake, it validated some people, but then it invalidated so many more.

What my biggest issue is, is that people with DID are highly vulnerable and easily manipulated and will take on very quickly whatever it is that might help them or make them feel validated. The fact that this whole topic has become such a big thing only points this out. I'm not saying that Una is wrong or that she is right. I have find things she's posted before for other people to be helpful. What I am however saying is that I personally do not see this place fit for me to find support that I need. I've pointed out what it is that I don't like, you can either agree with that and do something with it or you can disagree with and say: well good to have you leave, best of luck to you. I didn't post this to bash anyone. I am not that kind of person, if I would want to bash someone I would've called them out. Again the fact that this topic is getting so much attention, does point out that some people feel unsafe on here. It surprises me that in some instances moderators (who I thought some were actual T's) have never stepped in as said: this is unhealthy maybe we should change something. I'm not against finding information and reading up on stuff at all, you need to in order to learn more about the disorder. I just think that for new and young members there should be some kind of warning sign. There's a lot to say for everything and everyone's entitled to their own opinions. So there is no need to call each other hypocrits or anything else.

I think making a separate thread section for informational stuff would be an excellent idea.

I never read the post... I'm not talking about the post, I'm talking about putting EP or ANP in your signature. It shouldn't matter whether you're DID or DDNOS... It's essentially the same thing, and you're still going through the same thing regardless of whether you're labelled DID or DDNOS.

And again why do you think it's okay to come in here and start attacking valued long-term posters?

I hope you stay and feel better after venting. I hope you feel wanted here too! Can you actually say that about all the posters? There must be some you identify with and get the comfort and information you need. Again, this is a public board. You can choose to take the support that helps you and just pass on the rest. No one tries to make you feel bad. We just try and help you in the only way our own personality can. I don't think you are bashing, you are just expressing your feelings. As far as I know there are NO T's here! You can take or leave any advise. This is the internet. It is not a safe place overall, but people here do care about you and try their best to help in the only ways they know how. I don't think any of us here need to feel controlled. The mods are doing a good job and should not have a heavy hand in a group. :D

This is EXACTLY how I feel! :D :D :D

I don't want ANYONE to feel bad or that they do not fit in!!!! We are all different and no one should try and make themselves fit a certain mold or be like someone else! Be YOU! And strive to understand who YOU are. :D

Im standing up and opening the doors for the people who are too afraid to say how they feel for fear of rejection, I'm also reactivly arguing with those who choose to attack me, I have no quarrel with anyone, Simply Una's methods and some unfortunate posts, those people went on the defensive and the 3 of use have since then been bickering like children fighting for ultimate power, would you like to join? or say your piece validated and care free, the fight with the other two is over in my mind, there is no winner or loser, things should hopefully be changed for the benefit of everyone who uses this forum, and that was my original intention.

I never read the post... I'm not talking about the post, I'm talking about putting EP or ANP in your signature. It shouldn't matter whether you're DID or DDNOS... It's essentially the same thing, and you're still going through the same thing regardless of whether you're labelled DID or DDNOS.

With regard to that comment, it is unrelated, we were talking about the unfortunate side effects from the other thread, and the invalidation it caused to many people. DID, and DIDNOS can be the same, they can be very different, that does not mean that the individual feels they are the same, they may feel lesser because they don't have the label. I do agree with you however, if you feel like putting the labels on your sig, then good for you.

Please everyone check out the new guidelines thread that is a sticky at the top of this page. We want people to avoid feeling uncomfortable and triggered by talk of pre-defined roles so please label it with a trigger warning from now on (eg **triggers- contains defined roles**). If any of you have problems with the topics discussed or the content of a post please PM either myself or canolime so that we can find an appropriate solution if necessary.
