Thread Icon Descriptions and Legend

Hi all,

I looked everywhere and couldn't locate what all these different icons and symbols mean in front of the threads posted on the board, so I decided to post this for you in hopes that it will help you in case you were wondering, too.

Two general points:

- Red icons are unread items, blue/grey are read
- A star on any topic means you have posted in it

- Announcement
- Sticky topic
- Read topic
- Unread topic
- Read topic that you have posted in
- Unread topic that you have posted in
- Hot topic
- Locked topic
- Moved topic
- Forum with subforums (which have been read)
- Forum with subforums (which are unread)
- Link forum
- Attachment
- Go to last post in the topic
- Go to last unread post in the topic
- Subforum read
- Subforum unread

You're more than welcome. I'm a former global IT manager for the Coca-Cola Company in Atlanta, so I am very technical and a firm believer in ease-of-use for the end user on all applications.

I found a couple of issues when I first joined the forum recently and have asked that those issues be addressed when they can be to prevent future folks from going through the same thing.

I hope that the forum owner sees fit to sticky this thread because I'm sure that a lot of people want to know what all those thread icons are so they can make proper use of them.

Thank you for this! I recognized most of the icons but there were some that I didn't understand, like the hot topic one. Very helpful .

That is a very good list thank you! I think I will copy it and sticky it into the members forum within the next few days. If that is ok with you?

Everyone should feel free to PM a moderator or admin if they notice any problems with the forum. Moderators names are in blue or green and admins names are in red...

Of course you can use the legend. That's why I posted it.

I could not contact a moderator, or anyone else for that matter, with the issues I had when I joined the forum because as a new member, I was not allowed to PM anyone. That was just one of the problems I had. Fortunately, I was able to contact a moderator by posting an actual thread on the board about it and she fixed me right up.
