For a Moderator

Postby redhawk » Fri Jun 24, 2011 11:47 pm

Hello,
I'm new to this forum and am having a very hard time getting started.

I just received a PM from a moderator named "crackedgirl" asking me to edit my first post so she can approve it. Well, the problem is that because that post has not been approved, it does not show under "My Posts" in my control panel, therefore I can't access it anywhere to edit it.

Also, I am not allowed as a new member to send PM's, so I can't even answer crackedgirl's PM to me, nor can I contact any other moderators to help me.

I really want to participate in this forum, but the way it's set up makes it nearly impossible to get started.

Here is an email I sent to the email address given under "Contact" for the forum (still no reply yet):

Hello,
A good friend of mine with DID just referred me to this site.
I registered and made a post that said it has to be moderated before it's posted. How long does it take to be moderated and posted? It's been a while since I posted it.
Also, I was going to send a PM to a moderator about this, but I found that I am forbidden to send PM's, too. So I can't post and I can't contact a moderator or anyone else to find help.
I'm very anxious to get started on this forum, but these issues are making it very difficult to participate.
My username is redhawk and I tried to post on the DID forum.
Thanks for your help.

Sorry about that, did not realise you would not be able to edit it or PM. I will approve it and edit it immediately myself, I just did not want your personal details getting out for your own safety.

Thank you. Is there any way you can tell me how long my posts will be moderated and when I'll be able to use the PM system? I mean it's not good to get a PM from a mod and not be allowed to reply.

Also, I realize how inappropriate it is to have to post a new thread in the forum itself to try to resolve these issues, but I was left no choice.

Thanks.

Dont worry about posting it was my fault. You should be able to post freely now although posts are read by mods in your forum, and you should be able to PM. You can PM me as a test if you want.
