Hi, everyone.

Looks like there has been a lot of activity since I was away. My therapist spoke with my psychologist about everything, and guess what? I was sent to the hospital for two weeks. I'm not complaining or anything, I think it was for the best. I couldn't get into McLean hospital this time as they no longer take out of state insurance. 60 days in house would have cost my family more than $51,000 dollars. I could not do that to my family as we are not able to throw that kind of money around. So I decided to give it another try on the outside.

The only thing Andrew did was to refuse medication, but after about 15 minutes of argueing he gave in and took them. I'm not sure if the meds relax any of the others, but they do me. I'm on Haldol, Ambien, Cogentin, Metforman and Avandia (for diabetes) something for my thyroid and something for high cholesterol and an anti-depressant. I'm not too sure the anti-depressant is working as I have been on it again for a few months and the last few weeks I was extremely suicidal. Not really anymore though, I spoke with my 10 year old son while in the hospital and he was soooo excited to talk to me, it kinda got my mind to forget all about suicide. Then when I called him to tell him I was coming home, he all about fell from his seat....At least that's what I think he would have done.

Other than acting all tough and not wanting to take the meds, Andrew has been pretty co-operative, well, as much as he CAN co-operate, he is still Andrew after all. He still hears the, "voice," and we still don't, he is trying to fight back and tell the voice where to shove it!

We meet Karen, the therapist tomorrow, and we'll see what comes of that with Andrew. Even though Andrew brough a knife to therapy, she is still willing to continue working with us...I am so thankful as she is the best therapist I have ever had! She is 1 in a million!

I have not read any of the new threads, but I will. It seems to have been a busy 2 weeks around this forum.

Take care everyone.

Kim

P.S. Andrew and Cherry have both said they would enter into a contract that they will call Karen if they have any urges to cut. That's something, I guess!

I'm sorry to hear you were locked up like that, but at least it sounds like things are getting better. I'm over cheering for you about your therapist still sticking with you. I hope it all gets worked out good.

I am glad to hear that you guys are getting help. Your therapist seems really nice.

Hello, everyone.

Kim here. I have a question totally unrelated to DID. First of all, a week ago I passed out while trying to get gas for the car, and I did not come to until I got to the hospital. Doctors couldn't find anything wrong with me. Ever since then I am forgetting everything, like that this thread telling you all I was in the hospital, I have absolutely no re-call of writing it. There are a lot of other things I have no memory of doing. Am I dissociating doing these things or I wonder if something really could be wrong from falling. I had three different bumps on my head from the fall to the ground. Any advice from anyone?

Just an update, andrew has been very quiet since the two week stay in the hospital. Hardly a word, just yelling at the voice to leave him alone. It's been quite peaceful, well, peaceful for Andrew.

I hope you all are doing well....I have yet to read any threads here. I think I just needed a break from things for a while.

Mara gets memory loss randomly and tends to pass out (but usually due to triggers)

no idea why... psychologist isn't sure either.

You're not alone but I have no advice or answers. sorry.

It's okay that you don't have any advice, Sabrina. Just knowing you all are here for me is enough at times.

As far as I know, I have never passed out before, but this week I am going to my PCP to get checked on.

Mr. Bates, have you any advice or knowledge about passing out and DID? Could it all be from DID? Not that you are a doctor, but I know you are very knowledgeable in DID.

Take care, everyone.

Are you simply passing out or experiencing a blackout (you go out cold, alter takes over)

If you're just passing out, I don't think that's DID. What are your sleeping habits like? You might be suffering severe body exhaustion.

Hi.
To sit here and think about your question, I dont think I have ever "passed out" BUT my other alters
might not see or feel like that, I can think of twice I have felt that I have been let out of the dark and
was upset when I seen daylight again! jmho

I agree about Mr. Bates.

From what the peramedics say, I was out cold until sometime after I got to the hospital. No other part came out. I am also diabetic, and my sugar levels went down to the 60's which is not low enough to pass out. That's what the hospital doctor says anyway.

My sleeping history varies from night to night. I take meds for sleep, but they don't always help me out. Right now I am up to 4-6 hours of sleep a night. If I go to bed early say, 10-11, I toss and turn for hours, but if I go to bed late like 12-1, I get the 4-6, but not always every night.

I have four young parts that like to stay up and chat. Sometimes I do tell them to please keep it down, and sometimes they do listen, but not always I have a room in the house that I made with sound proofing on the walls and door, so I could sleep there, but then there are other problems...others take over if I sleep in my room and then I have no idea what is going on.

Andrew and I went to his bar for drink or 5! we spent $40 on booze. Andrew wanted to go drinking but he had to take a guide so Andrew would not go out of confrol. He stayed close by and didn't try to pick anyone up so that is a good thing too. Not of him, but for me it all morkred out.

Just because you're mentally resting doesn't mean anything to the body. If your alters are out at all hours of the night, they're exhausting the crap out of your body, and that really needs to stop.
