Don't have any advice about the feelings, not really my area, and don't know if this is any help/hope but when I was in engineering school where the professors are known to be cocky, hard-ass, sons-of-bitches, I had a problem with Meagan who skipped out on finals week, just f*in' left town!
Someone told DeAnna about the Students with Disabilities office. Since we had (actually Meagan had but u know...) a diagnosis of Major Depression (not even DID), we qualified. They helped us with the issue (we didn't tell them about Meagan, just used the depression diagnosis with no details: theyre not really allowed to ask, just have to consult your doc for a reference) and we ended up getting a retroactive withdrawal in the classes we missed. Not great to repeat $#%^ but saved my ass, GPA-wise. and other benefits did come of it, like being able to take tests with a proctor in a quiet room, alone, with extra time. Stuff like that. It kind of hurt my pride to let DeAnna take the help, but now I'm glad she did because I don't know how we woulda got thru otherwise. Its kinda hard to take tests when whiny babies are cryin' in yer ear, ya' know?
Just thought it might be something you could at least look in to. I think schools are required to have these kind of programs, maybe yours does too.
