Is it possible that children notice your alters because your alters front when kids are present or may be nearby?

Hi Johnny-Jack and yes you are correct. We have thought more about this and when children are present, little alters are nearby, or they front for a short time.

Yes very true. It is said that up to a certain age children can see/sense spirits (ghosts). So why should alters be any different? :)

Gangs, thank you and I am glad.

My own question has made other alters in my system think about this :)

I think, at least with Sunflower, that kids may notice something, but more so it is the littles finding a place to be out that is socially acceptable.

Our bio-kids notice nice mommy and mean mommy, but if Emma is out playing with them, they just think its mommy doing a funny voice. The oldest has heard the names AJ and Meg enough to ask, but we just say they' are mommy's friends and move on...

I could totally see dogs being able to identify who is friendly/not. However, I don't know that they notice alters, more so they are highly attuned to facial and voice/pitch cues....

We don't know dogs well enough, but we have 4 cats here and I think 2 of them can tell & have favourites.

One of the cats really likes V1 and gets super affectionate with her when she's fronting. Even after her 14-month absense, when V1 came back this cat was all over her like an old friend. :)

That cat's sister seems to like me & V2 better. :D The other two cats, maybe can't tell or don't care lol.

That made me smile Viola. I have had one of my cats growl and hiss at me, because an alter they don't like has slipped in, then slipped out again. They also favour Jester and Joker and tend to hide if littles are out.
