introducing ourselves

we tried this once before, but then.... everything got deleted! spent two hours on it and it was super nice and well formatted! and it got deleted and im MAD about it! but oh well let's try this again. it'll be shorter than what we planned because we don't have a lot of time. i guess this is a good thing though since it's not so edited you'll get to really see us candid... maybe we'll make a better blog post as an introduction later.

the body is 18 and is diagnosed with bpd, ptsd, depression, anxiety, and adhd on top of our did diagnosis.

there are more than who's just listed here, and probably even more we aren't aware of, but we just wanted to bring out those who will be posting the most. there are some who'll be just listing out their names, and they won't be posting as much.

hiya! i'm jules, and this is my system! i'm the host, and i type fast so i end up jumbling my letters and sometimes don't catch those mistakes. sorry! my brain works at about a mile a minute, or at least faster than my fingers. i'm about the same age as the body (18) and i would prefer they/them pronouns please and thank you! i like pokemon, voltron: legendary defender (please watch the show, just don't get into the fandom), and writing. (i'm the one primarily writing this post!)

name's keith, i'm 18, and i'm a protector for the system. there's not much you need to know about me except that i go by he/him pronouns please. (and he has a boyfriend ooooo) (shut it jules) yes, i have a boyfriend, he's a protector for another system we know. also, though i share the same name as the character keith of voltron, i do not identify as him. i do like his character, and i did steal his name, but i'm not a fictivekin, just for clarification.

I am Julian, he/him, 18, and also a protector. I generally speak up for the system and provide our full, unbiased viewpoint when it is needed. I tend to be a confident and clear figure when that is what the situation calls for, so I do end up reinforcing Jules' boundaries a lot. I am also why the system gets called more 'mature' than we look, and I do pride myself in that.

my name is karyn, i don't really identify with an age, but when asked i just say 18 like the body. i use she/her pronouns. i am the system manager and keeper of the archives. i don't like to host at all, so mostly i just watch and fill fronts in on what they need to know for a situation. if i type on here, it's almost always another alter typing for me.

we have gone through quite a lot, especially in our younger years, but have thankfully been blessed with a very responsive support system and great resources. we're no strangers to the mental health system (...about ten years...) and have been floating between diagnoses for quite some time, but this is what we're working with at the moment. it has not been smooth sailing, i will just as readily admit that as i'm sure many in our system would, especially since some things we were only diagnosed with once we reached adulthood, however, we're very determined to live as full a life as we can.

again, we've been super duper lucky to have the resources we have and the support. we couldn't control what happened to us but we can control our recovery and that's what counts!

That right there I think is key for almost any trying and difficult situation or process. Glad you've got a good support network and those resources.
