Help a brother out

Postby WTFDIDIDO » Wed Mar 28, 2018 5:53 am

Hi everyone, I have left this site for several weeks now for variety of reasons which are not revlenat to this post but now I need some advice

I have always had issues sleeping, but lately (depsite quiting drinking and cutting down pot to a minimum), I have been tripping out a lot at night random thoughts and I simply cannot sleep for several hours and then wake up exhausted and someone manage a 1-2 hour commute to work (I really don't know how). Of coursr I never remember what I was tripping about the previous night so odds are I don't recall posting this

Now when I am say I am tripping a lot of the times I use it loosely I am fully sober just tripping in the sense I have so many various and often wierd and complex thoughts or I am simply tripping over a past event (not that I remember a lot from the past). I feel guilty for all the times I smoked/drank and kept it from my family- but then I realize it wasn't me per say who did it- I/we have no idea who is present when, which is probably the reason we trip so much and can't sleep

Anyway, I am tripping too much to keep typing but I would really apprecaite ways to comabate this random tripping at night and be able to sleep (what I experience is worse than insomina in my opinion- not that I know who my is lol)

Cheers!

If you're using the term 'tripping' to mean feeling very dissociated or overwhelmed, as opposed to being actually intoxicated or high, then here's some ways to combat it.

Grounding techniques - there's a bunch listed here:
http://did-research.org/treatment/grounding.html

Meditation / mindfullness. There's some free stuff here:

Hi !

When we have trouble to fall asleep, we listen to music, soft and positive music.
It helps me to stop thinking, it reassure the Littles (and sometime the older ones too) and we usually fall asleep before the end of the playlist.
