Switching

I was wondering, what is switching like for people who don't blackout when they switch? Just something I was curious about.
I have ADHD. Possibly have another mental disorder but am not certain.

The only time I don't blackout when I'm doing what I call "Switching Out" is when I do it willingly. I've actually learned how to thrust certain alters out whenever I want. Anyway, it feels an awful lot like the peak of a DXM trip for a few moments. I feel a "hum" going through me. I can still see through my eyes but I can't move freely, feel anything & reality looks really warped. Things are bigger/smaller than normal & movements seem slower/faster. If I hold out, my vision returns to normal but I still can't feel anything unless there's a physical threat. Usually before then, I slip away.

So it's like suddenly tripping balls (for me) then watching life progress through my own eyes, under someone else's control. Oh & my hearing is just as f--ked up as my vision is for that period of time.

When Sage comes out, I always black out at first. When/if I do regain awareness from the inside, I skip all the visual/audio distortion & can hear/feel/see as clearly as she can.
So allein will ich nicht sein
Ich such dich unter jedem Stein
Ich schlaf mit einem Messer ein
Wo bist du? Wo bist du?

When I'm aware of it, either my mind kind of resets (goes blank) or my thought stream crosses with another thought stream until it overtakes my thought process. Internally, whoever goes away feels like they're fading and the one coming out just wakes up or suddenly becomes aware of where they are. Usually I don't know I switched until after the fact.

Something like smoothly switching places with someone in a line. In some drivers education cars, the instructor has a steering wheel and brake and can choose to divert control of the car to himself, for example, if you're doing a bad job. It might take you a couple seconds to realize, oh, I'm not turning the wheel yet the car's turning, the instructor must have blocked me and he's driving. It's like that sometimes. If an alter takes over, I usually feel it's about to happen though. But sometimes somebody else is just out and it takes me a couple seconds to realize it. I'm there watching, the experience is almost the same as moments before.

When things are good its like a tag team, when things are bad its like being shoved into a dark place for a while.

Mine is like altcntrldel. It's like a thought crosses over. Often times I have a pause or disconnect. If a hard switch happens then I have the distorted vision and headaches. It's just very out if control. All my thoughts and memories are retained within the filter of that personality or part. I can't switch at will tho. I've never done drugs so can't compare to tripping. I have a lot of derealization and depersonalization w my switches.
Sometimes they cycle and switch in a progression. Other times I can sleep our if a switch. Wake up and be the normal self. I have a catatonic part which is a protector from an introject. Very interesting how ur works!
