Good morning all.

We have been sleeping a lot this weekend-- I think it's the depression. It frustrates everyone that isn't the main fronting part, because we have a system where the rest of us don't really switch in often, just exert influence. And we aren't that strong-- main fronting part usually can ignore us and do what they want.

Even with our council, we end up just. Not doing anything. And it sucks because weekends are supposed to be for the rest of the system (main fronting part is out the whole week for work and school).

Besides that things are...OK. We are going to go get breakfast soon. We have to return to the abusers this coming week which also sucks. For the holiday + body birthday. Kids get some new toys though so that's good.

Hope everyone is doing alright; any advice on how to get time sharing more functional for us would be appreciated, but don't feel pressured.

Hi Green...

I hope things work out. Depression is awful isn't it? We're depressed because we miss Mom. Vi's tired too. Too much going on. Too much bad stuff.

Hi Bri,

I'm sorry there's a lot of bad stuff going on for you all. I hope you can take care of yourselves, whatever way that looks for you. Listen to your needs and wants and whatever else. Find some safety and calm, even just internally.

We're going to play a game now-- the schedule we made says that now is time for Slime Rancher. I hope it helps me and TE calm down; we are kind of angry and kind of...blending? Is that the right word? I don't know. * shrug *

Hi Green

Some of our system have depression too and have had a hard time getting motivated to do anything in the past.

We have also had fronting hosts with no awareness of the inside and the others. When Kit wanted to get up early to exercise they would set an alarm clock and hide it... (usually on an old phone so they could download a specific tune..for them star trek) This would bring Kit to the front instantly but not Maddie as she never watched Star Trek.

Do any of the ones that want to come out at the weekend have a fav program your main host doesn't watch? that you could maybe find an alarm theme for to set to go off early saturday/sunday before the other host would naturally wake? ...once you are out front first it maybe easier to negotiate your time out or for them to agree to do things others like too (if your host does know about you).

You could for example if they write a journal leave a message/letter to them that they will know they didn't write and maybe suggest what you'd like to be able to do at weekends/days off or maybe even some evenings when they've finished school/work?

Sister arrives today. This is good. Now the week will pass and then we will get to start working towards the end of the year. Right now, we're on a medication that makes our vision slightly blurry. It's to help with the after effects of having caught covid back in September. We joined a new server on Discord that is causing some slight consternation due to the fact that it discusses Dungeons and Dragons and our character actually has had to incorporate our DID into her story. We're not sure if we should actually explain why our character has DID.

Altogether, things are quiet right now. The next week will be busy and then we can get back to our normal routines.

Octavia.

Hi Jay,

Those are some good ideas, we'll try them. I can think of a few themes we could use, mostly relating to kid parts' interests. I also like the writing idea - we have a few different journals, and main fronting part routinely checks them for new messages.

Doing OK today. We finish the special therapy main fronting part agreed to (with everyone else's consent) this afternoon-- going back to IFS work after, which is weird to us and the T isn't a specialist in DID but at least we get to talk to them.

Then we have to go back to the abusers for the holiday ... not looking forward to that; only bright side is the kids' packages will be there so we can open those on the body birthday end of the week.

Hope everyone's doing alright. Glad things seem to be getting a little bit better for the Theta folks, too.

I'm feeling strangely 'very positive' today, not that the physical life situation has changed but a feeling that 'I' know who 'I' am, it seems strange as really struggled to get to sleep last night, it was after 2am and was awake again by 7.30am as Mr Woof gave us a nudge cos he needed to go for 'wee wees'.

Today is just a quest to get out between rain storms without getting soaked and chase up housing (again). I don't know whether to decline the covid booster or go through the hassle of arranging home vaccination as I wonder whether the Tinnitus came from the vaccine and having another might make it even louder?

But do we want to risk hospital when our local hospitals are struggling so much with increase in covid/flu, ambulances backed up at the entrances waiting hours to offload patients into the corridors, too many patients (often ones that were already elderly and/or disabled before they went in) who can't go home as there's not enough social care to look after them in their own homes and nurses going on strike! It's a very different world! I understand Kit's desire to be prepared and avoid interaction as much as possible right now (watching the news in my PJ's!) ...this is what she is trying to protect us from..ending up a 'victim of the (medical/social care) system' again.

Hello!

Kit wants to ask if Slime Rancher is played in the first person perspective? We're looking for a game to improve speed of targeting and reaction but we don't like violent gory FPS games as we have young 'littles' who find them really scary.

Slime Rancher is the cartoony game where the 'gun' is more like a vacuum to collect the ..erm... creature things you have to collect..right?? Is it open world like BOTW? like can you do tasks in any order and go anywhere? Thanks

Yeah, it's first person but not scary-- the scariest part might be the Tarrs, or angry slimes, but you can play in a mode without the Tarrs and angry slimes can be fed to make them not angry.

And yep it's the one with the vacuum that picks up the slimes! (: It's somewhat open world; you get to explore and slowly unlock other areas. I think the PC version is a bit better, but Switch runs decent.

You could look up game play videos to get a better sense of the game before you play, if that kind of thing helps with deciding. I think the Black Friday and holiday sales on Nintendo and Steam are starting soon too so the game might even be on sale if you wait a little?

I hope that helps! ^_^

We are back at the abusers' home... it is not great but we have a coloring book and toys and our games so it will be ok. We brought journals too for communications. Hope everyone is doing well-- I give you all big hugs if wanted, and a happy smile if no hugs!

As much as I love Sister, having her actually be here is stressful. Still, this week will go by and things will return to relative normal. We're still working out what's going to happen to Uncle B, but that isn't our responsibility. If/When he moves out, Father can move upstairs and things will be quiet. In fact, they'll be quieter than things are here. But that won't happen until summer.

Right now, things are going as well as they can.
Take care,
Vi
