When someone you're not out to calls your little by the body's name and he impulsively says "who?" and now you have to make up an excuse as to why "you forgot your own name"

bodytemperature like so much other stuff (allergy, medicine, eyeglasses to name a few) is controlled by the personality...

I get "cold flashes" too. Of course it is wise to make sure it's not an internal organ problem, it could be hormones etc (I'm not a doctor) and I recommend anyone to first see their doctor, then see if it's the dissociation.
I've had my blood drawn many times for this and someo other odd bodily symptoms, it's always ok. I now know that one of my alters can freeze me up with "ice" when she really needs to stop me so I'll focus on her.

When your multiple personal email accounts are read by different alters. When you send emails to yourself and are surprised at what they say.

when you have no memory of a certain event for some reason, but then you check your journal and you see another alter talking about what happened during the event, and you're like oh...! i guess i'm not faking it!

(faking it as in, still in denial...)

You know you have DID when a voice in your head says "You don't have DID." Hello? "You"?

-- Fri Dec 16, 2016 3:34 pm --

Sometimes just one part of my body is cold. Objectively cold. Hypothermic. This could be a sign of major cardiovascular disease but in my case it is a dissociative symptom. It is very, very common in trauma survivors, with and without DID. I think it should be included in the diagnostic criteria for acute stress disorder and PTSD. The good news is that like other dissociative symptoms, appropriate talk therapy can help to resolve it. One of my therapist taught me mental imagery techniques I now use to warm my body. It still amazes me that they work. Foolishly I was sure at first they were totally bogus and I resisted even trying them. Then finally I tried and blow me down, they work!

the other day at work, I was talking out loud in the bathroom and I said

"stop talking to yourself"
and I answered, "I am not talking to myself. I am talking to YOU."

... when it's your time tonight but the host's grand-mother send you a message on Skype, and you almost answer "we're happy to come to your house next week".
Still not used to write "I"...

... when being co-present and the main one means you have to deal with the mother, and after a moment, she look at you in a weird way and says "Are you angry tonight ?".
And I almost answered "No, it's the way I am, but thank you for pointing it", before I remembered I don't want her to know when I'm here.
