a friend whose studying chemistry, and kinda apprenticed at some times at pharmacists offices. he looked at my ungodly long list o'drugs and was able to instantly start categorizing them and why i can't take $#%^. in a nut shell, if it messes with nuerotransmitters in ANY way shape or form, i'm screwed. but that's all he could tell. the advice was given, go see a pharmacist, tell them you want them to be YOUR pharmacist, and give them a list of meds you can't take and what happens when you do. and if you find a pharmacist who can, tell them you want them to go over you're list, and help figure out what is 'safe' and 'not safe' for you to take. he sed pharmacists swear a different creed than doctors, and are far more akin to arguing with a doctor if they believe you can't take a med. so i need to find me a pharmacist who will do this for me. even if its a paid fee, you'll know they'll do a lot more effort into it.

a pharmacist won't perscribe meds for you to be on, but he'll work between you and yer doctor (i understand for now) on the good n bad $#%^. so if u need to have a word with yer pharmacist, ask him wtf? don't like him? find a new one.

doc's don't know jack didd'ly f'ng squat about pharaceuticals and their full design, structure, affects, etc. trust me, i know. i've been put on enough f'ing drugs now by doc's wanting to immediatly book diagnose me!! and now, they're too scared to deal with me.....

cursed,

Thanks, I will try getting to know the pharmasist better. That may help, but that is one drug they never let me run out of. (seroquel)
They say I cant just stop taking it, but with this dx BPD, there is nothing I would like better than that.

I hate this dx.!!!!!!!!

ruby,

If you are going to be using it(seroquel) to help you sleep, be sure not to take the Wellbutrin late at night, it is a "rough ride to happy" and may not let you sleep.

I adjusted those two meds times and it made a lot of difference in how it let the meds work. (just those 2 wellbutrin & seroquel.

Just FYI JMHO,
peace.

It made me tired but didn't knock me out fast like an ambien would.
Today I felt really drugged. I took a wellbutrin this morning and it didn't counteract the drugged feeling left over from the seroquel. Is 100mgs a high starting dose for seroquel? The doctor I went to said I could adjust my dose up to 600mgs a day If it didn't work at a lower dose. I can't even imagine what I would be like on 600mgs. I kind of wish the doctor would just prescribe me sleep meds.

rubystar,
It takes a few days to adjust to this med. Everyone is different, 100 mgs is going to affect people differently. I take both ambien and seroquel (day and night seroquel). I can function, tho sometimes I need a nap in the early afternoon.
My problem with ambien is it works great for a while then it just stops working. I have to stop taking it again, wait a while and go back to it.

I hope it evens out for you, so you are not so groggy.
