Worth it! Pats on the Back

Postby CarmenRose23 » Mon Feb 01, 2010 4:46 am

Hi,

Everyone who is playing the "I'm worth it" game! So we all had some goals, how are we doing?
Lets list some successes and some things we are struggling with.

Success
I'm did really great with my goals
I went to the grocery, and I made lunch for a whole week. My ADHD work is going fantastically, and I managed to help a friend in the Codependent talk forum!

Woo hoo.

Challenge
I am having trouble not being drawn into a lot of negative energy
My plans fell through a little this morning, I hit a wall and got confused.

So ya'll who are playing how are your recovery goals coming, did you do them, and are they helping you deal with your BP, or your X?

oh and FYI if you want to use the stuff like bold and quote... Highlight what you want to be affected and then click the button... I know at least one person who is having a hard time with that! :P

Successes:
Both my interviews have called me back for 2nd interviews.... I may get hired yet!
Spent record minimum time dwelling on uBPDxgf and what might have been...

still workin on:

Hearing "your hired".
Reducing time spent thinking about xgffurther still (while hoping she has a happy life)*

* CR23 talking with you has been a plus in this . Thanks

Just with BPD? ok!

Struggles: keeping my PTSD from triggering a BPD response.
Success: Being able to let go of baggage and triggers, and enjoying a peaceful life, and feeling happiness and love.

It can be BPD or not... whatever you want to focus on.

WOW Red Your So concise!
Lol this is a woman who has done therapy!

PHASE 2 (I wanted to wait for KMTTP but she'll catch up.

What are we going to do this week to attack our listed struggles???

I am working on keeping a schedule going listing everything that I need to do.
And I am going to focus on positive things and accomplishments to keep me from going all negative…
So to make that last statement more measurable… I am going to Post my daily successes, OR go over my Daily successes with my BF.

We do our daily successes together.
“Five things you did well today!”

Alrighty then.....lets see...

Success

~I was super productive at work today.
~I worked out like a mad woman at the gym.
~I have been doing well using the analogy that I am like an alcoholic and my ex is the alcohol. Just not good for me.

Challenge

~Just getting back to 'ME'...putting myself back together.
~Trying to realize that I am a good person who was in a relationship with a sick individual.

Phase 2

~ This week I am going to spend more time around my friends so I can start to feel more like myself.
~ I need to still make the list of things that were very negative in my relationship with my ex. (nervous about this one...b/c I am afraid it will bring up memories that I really have been trying to delete from my mind)
~ I also need to be more patient and realize that I had been through something that I had never experienced in my life...It will take time to heal. With time...it gets better.

I think I am caught up now......
