Someone having (or me perceiving them to have) a negative view about me, even a tiny one.
People calling me attention seeking.
Being pushed to move forward in ways I don't want to.
Hearing about other people being in hospital.
My brother feeling any type of negative emotion.

I'm starting to realize I have the same issue with my mom feeling any type of negative emotion. How have you been dealing with that?

A lot of the time I do OCD-type rituals or avoid asking my brother how he is or meeting up with him. Not helpful.
I try to listen to him when he says I don't let him experience his emotions and I take on board when people say it's normal for all of us to feel bad sometimes. It's just that I can't imagine feeling sad - only depressed, or worried - only anxious. So I think my brother will be feeling the same extreme emotions as me when they're probably at a milder level for him.

When my mom does it I feel scared and helpless. My mom has always used me as an emotional sounding board since I can remember. So I think these feelings are basically me reverting back to being a kid.
I'm not like this with other people, and it's really hard for me to express to her how upsetting it is.

It's hard when people don't understand the distress they're causing. You can't change her behaviours so I hope you can find a way to cope with the emotions that those behaviours lead you to feel. I'm here if you want to talk.
