unwise. need to be more disciplined about it or else it'll just keep coming back up. have probably gone back close to... what, five years or so. ridiculous. should have never let it get here. should have never let it get anywhere close to this. it does prove, however, the efficacy of the plan. you starve the beast. you don't fight it or reason with it. you simply stick it in the basement, lock the door, and try to ignore the howls until it stops.

i even screwed up the transfer. that had gone well and was helping. i won't say "working," but it was helping. but now i've allowed the switch to reverse itself. after it had already reversed itself. twice. but that's not the point. only the most-recent switch matters. and that one was stupid. stupid. stupid. stupid.

why have the others largely gone away while the other is back? that definitely seems peculiar, seeing as how they all could be linked to the same idea. perhaps i was wrong before. perhaps the others weren't part of a larger concept, but were simply necessary as proxies for the proxy, and the object always is just a single identity.

growing tired again. haven't been this tired in a while.
