When I was younger, I always believed that empathy was some adult-made concept and that people who really behave like they had it, were just sheeps in a matrix who weren't "woke up" yet. But everyone says it's a real thing, just because it's in the brain.
But is this really an argument? People make up everything. Good people start being good when they are afraid of being punished.
Religion or believing in a God is in the brain too, but not everyone believes. Not everyone prays, not everyone goes to a church or something. Empathy is in the brain too, but not everyone seems to really have it, although it's in the brain.
A proof that empathy is not directly "normal" or something you "need", just like religion.
And that's called a "disorder". Why the ###$? There are pros and cons at having empathy or having it not, just like there are pros and cons at being religious or having no religion or belief at all.
Pros and cons at having a active religious brain are a social group where you belong, making friends, having your morals and standars and having a "goal" in your life. The cons are being hypocrite, afraid, obsessive or just psychotic because you see signs of the end times everyone.
The pros at having empathy or just an active amygdala is having a real emotional connecting with others with a better understanding of other people, having better morals and caring genuinly about others. The cons are being tired, losing yourself in others emotions, depression and more fear and other negative emotions.
