how have you met your alters?

Asti was the first to make herself obviously known. i had been in some serious denial and amnesia before.
we were in a clinic because of a crisis and then diagnosis.
she stepped up and simply and firmly said " I am Asti, and there will be no show"
meaning that she wouldnt let anyone out and draw attention from doctors.
she knows how to make things dramatic...
it came as a shock, but there was a lot of time to explore in the 3 months of clinic that followed.

at that time i would have sworn that there is no protector in the system.
i first met Annett when she fronted to give a rude comment to someone who bothered me. so not like me. she said all the stuff that never comes to my mind in those situations. it was a shock to be co-con and hear this coming from my mouth. i was almost ashamed but really happy at the same time and couldnt explain where that strength came from.

the girl Hannah is one who doesnt show up a lot but we got in conctact again lately. Thamara brought her to me and introduced her and asked if i could help her get better.

i first heard Mike when i was in a very desperate situation, heart-broken. all he said was "do not fear", like one of those angels in the bible. i thought it was an angel for some time because it calmed me down instantly and i had peace.

thinking about this makes me love us even more.
we are all great people, everyone here. and i am glad that i get to know some a little bit.

We realized at body-age 34, in 1996, that we were multiple. We had just joined an online forum for trauma survivors and met multiples there. It triggered the first few of us to make ourselves known to what we call the Collective Self. Five insiders at first. 13 during the first year. Hence "MakersDozn."

Insiders introduced themselves in waves. By 2003 we'd found all 47 of us, but we didn't realize it until a couple of years later.
