Thanks newsunrising. I am beginning to think I can do this. However, the little voice is saying you can gamble responsibly. Know better from experience. It is more like losing responsibly which is very tiresome.

Hi guys,
I've been umming and arring about joining this site and here I am, i find there are good tips to help with quitting gambling for good which is what I am trying to do now.
Today is day one.
Like everyone else I have gambled for years on various $#%^ like pokies sports horses lotto keno whatever and now I am in the hole about $12,000 AUD.
I seeked help about a year ago and the doctor told me I have two options 1.controlled gambling 2. Abstaining
I thought I could control it but it's not the case and recently I have discovered the crack cocaine equivalent of gambling which is online casino.
Mix this alcohol and it is just a big mess.
So it's time to take the hard road now option 2.
Any tips along the way would be greatly appreciated
Thanks :) :D

Good to see you're still here! That means I must be at 220 now.
Congratulations to all new people for joining.

I just realized I registered on this forum almost a year ago.

I'm far from being GF as it's only day 18 for me, but welcome and as far as online gaming, stop now before you dig yourself a deeper hole as that was my downfall. Just too easy to gamble. I've never been addicted to lottery, sports betting or actual brick and mortar casinos. However online gambling and being able to gamble on your phone....different story. Good luck on your journey and come here often as you'll get good advice and most importantly, EVERYONE understands as we've all had our day 1 :D

Good to see you back Bitcoin ! I started my recovery on January 1 of this year .

About 3 months ago I made myself a simple Julian calendar in Excel . It's a better way for me to keep track of the days instead of adding up all the months as I go along . Plus , I color in every GF day so I can really see the progress as they add up.
