2 months GF today. I'm so happy.

The biggest help for me was reading all the posts by movingon2014. It helped me get to the root of my problem. So movingon2014, if you are reading this I just want to say thank you so much. I'm very grateful.

Congratulations Frank !

It's an amazing difference , isn't it ? You should be proud of your achievement - those first few months are the worst .

Keep posting , and stay strong ...

Thanks a lot NewSunRising ! Congratulations to you two, my God 229 days GF !

Yes, it was tough in the first few weeks. I'm glad i listened to you guys about self-excluding and cutting my access to money. I probably would have relapsed then if I hadn't done those two things.

But now, it feels amazing. The urge is barely there. I feel at peace.

30 days here too!! Never thought I could do this!! Don't get me wrong, it's really hard sometimes (as you all know). Being broke is a temptation to go back and "try" to win, but we all know where that leads....I know my financial situation will slowly get better. I didn't get into my debt overnight so I can't expect it to get better overnight either.

You're testing my baking abilities here!!!

For me personally 30 days was the most important moment until I reached a year. Because if you can make it for 30 days, that means you can make it for 60 days -- just do the 30 again. And if you've done 30 twice and got to 60, you can make it for 90 days, it's piece of cake. (haha) Congratulations to both of you!

Hello everyone, I am new here and would like to thank you all for helping me to overcome this devastating gambling addiction. The posts have been very inspirational to me and have helped me tremendously in the past month (today is day 35 gambling free days for me). But the last couple of days I have been so tempted to get in the car and drive to the nearest casino. Reading the posts here helps keep me focused. Thanks so much to everyone and all the best.
