For the Therapist with the Toughest Job

Postby Twinkling Butterfly » Wed Mar 02, 2011 5:15 pm

Apparently I missed this yesterday, so I apologize if it's already been mentioned, but I just spotted it while I was goofing off at—uh, I mean, doing Internet research today ;) and of course, I just HAD to share it with everyone.

I think it was for a therapist who works with sociopaths. That's one of only two cases I know in which it would be appropriate to write that word on a cake (the other being the celebrated unveiling of the Moral Absolute, which we all know will never happen in our lifetime if at all :() but...WTF? Is that colored blob of icing supposed to be a virus with a plastic human foot sticking out of it? Have fun guessing.

Edit: Actually, I think it's supposed to look like a person falling into a hellhole. Am I allowed to say hellhole on this site? Don't ban me, mods!

Dunno what that blob is. That is the uglies cake I have ever seen. What does it mean if people bother to give you a cake and it is THAT ugly? It seems it may have been intended to be a sugar glob of insult. It makes me angry that any one would make light of a clients condition.
I have a thing against cakes. I always feel compelled to punch them. I think it would feel so good to just smash the living daylights our of an entire pastry counters cakes. Squish squish squish!!! THIS cake more than any other!
I need to light up...

Do you know any therapists who work with sociopaths? Because the ones commenting on the blog post seemed to wish their coworkers had given them a cake like that (maybe not as ugly, though to the decorator's credit, at least everything is legible and spelled right). Nothing eases the stress of a tough job like cake, am I right?

If it's the "going to hell" implication that bothers you, I should also mention that someone suggested the cake may have been for a lawyer and not a therapist. In that case, if the icing blob is supposed to be a hellhole (I'm still not sure), the implication is more likely that it's the lawyer himself who is going to hell (oldest subject of lawyer jokes).

The Diabolical Decorator Strikes Again!

Postby Twinkling Butterfly » Fri May 13, 2011 10:41 pm

I think this cake may have been decorated by the same person.

In case you skipped over that url, it's a scene from Terminator 2.

And "Diabolical Decorator" is another reference to Cake Wrecks.

Another Inappropriate Cake

Postby Twinkling Butterfly » Tue Jul 19, 2011 3:02 am

If you thought the first cake was inappropriate, how about something really inappropriate?

I think the blob of icing is supposed to be a campfire, with a foot burning in it.

Like the brown jelly beans are logs for the fire, the red/yellow/orangey icing is supposed to the flames I guess, and the foot is an emaculately clean (possibly bleached) body part being burned...

That's what I get from it at least :?

What about this cake:

Snuggly, cute adorable, or creepy?

^Definately creepy. I couldn't eat that at all.

I think the blob of orange icing in the OP's pic is supposed to represent a fight. You know, like in the cartoons where there's just this big roiling dustcloud/spiky mess with body partings sticking out of it to indicate that someone is hitting someone else.

Kinda cute until someone picks up a knife to slice it. I'm thinking that's a cake you show-off to the guests, and then take away to the kitchen to cut-up.

Another weird one. :?
