Online Journaling and Charting

Postby seanetal » Tue Jun 28, 2005 7:55 am

Hey all,

Just wanted to let everyone know that we have a new tool called psychTracker Online which we're beta testing. Once you've registered you can track as many symptoms as you want as many times per day as you want... and it's all free!

(since I'll probably catch grief for this, YES it is advertising supported)

You can find it at http://www.mypsychtracker.com

Please register and help us test the system.

Can everyone see it, or can just you yourself see it, or does the advertiser see it?

I checked the site above and did not like it at all. I found this one through a google search so far I like it better.

My psychiatrist recommended keeping mood tracking very simple.
I just write down one number, one time a day, any time of day, as long as it's the same time every day.
I find it easy to manage, and I don't have to be around a computer. I keep a folded index card in my wallet.

2 very high
1 high
0 normal
-1 low
-2 very low

Another site that allows mood chart and other medical charts to be printed is http://www.mood-chart.com.
You can chart and export your charts as PDF.

If you have an ipod or iphone there is an app called mood tracker. It is free (there are upgrades available for a fee). It tracks moods with corresponding number line, visual faces with descriptions, and a sleep tracker. You can also enter notes. THe sleep and mood faces/scale can overlay, so you can visually see the correlation between mood swings and sleep patterns. It is awesome. I've caught some stuff early that I might have otherwise missed. Its convenient and easy to use. If you are on an ipod/iphone/itouch regularly (like me), its worth checking out. My pdoc and therapist loved it. They are now recommending it.
