Do you know what you look like when you "switch"?

I ask because I am curious. When people switch, is it like...hardly noticeable? I only know what three people can tell me as they are the only ones to ever notice or witness my switching. Also, on United States of Tara, she closes her eyes when she switches and other things like documentaries and clips I've watched on YouTube have similar such switching as USoT and eyes rolling and such things. Now, from what I've been told, my switches are sometimes instantaneous and my eyes will just glaze over momentarily and can range from that to fainting to small seizures (which haven't happened since Bridgitte went wherever she did). My ex told me once it took me half an hour to switch to Bernadette, which is weird, since she can just "jump" out whenever she feels like it xD but yeah I fainted then so she kinda worried from then on. That never happened again after that and if I fainted it was momentary and then I'd recover. So, does anyone else know what it looks like (from the outside) when they switch?

So far mine all have distinct and exaggerated facial expressions and my husband and kids notice fast!

Zack coughs, everyone else twitches. TK just kinda jumps out if no one is on guard.

But generally, yeah, twitching is what people see. And the ones who don't know of my DID (Roughly 95% of the people I see day-to-day), I just say its cold and we move on. Or I just say "Whoa", and that works too.

My switches only take moments and I'm co a lot. The boys have their own cloths. Their posture is way different then mine. They drive differently then I do and jay is mostly left handed which I am not. I usually go blank faced and dazed looking if switching is not instant. But it only lasts a few second at most. The boys have a different sounding voice along with different slang and they usually cuss more then I do. Rori has a higher more cheerful tone. Jay has a slight smirk lyle always looks pissed off or unhappy. Sabastien is a bit camera shy.

Yeah, B and Min both wear colored contacts when they're out long enough - blue for Bernadette and green for Minerva. Bernadette, as my friend told me, has a "frolic through the flowers" voice XD And everyone else has accents. Minerva has a British accent, Tucker has a Southern accent (which isn't unusual in the lower half of my state so it doesn't take too much explaining), and Madeline speaks French and she's hardly ever out. Bernadette doesn't "believe" in pants, so she's always in a dress or skirt XD and leaves my hair down whereas I always leave mine up, Minerva tends to be in skirts but makes sure her shoulders and ankles are always covered (something about the Bible...) and tends to put my hair in pigtails (apparently that's the only style she can do...) and Tucker tends to just wear A-shirts (aka "wife-beaters") and guys' gym shorts and he, of course, pulls my hair back. Especially because he tends to be more active than I am.

Most people don't notice when I switch. My husband says the normal switch for me is a few seconds long, and I'll blink really fast, or my eyes will glaze over for a few seconds. There have been a couple really bad days where the protectors decided I shouldn't be out but didn't convince someone to switch with me, so I ended up collapsed wherever I'd been standing.

My husband can tell when someone other then me is out. Around him, none of us bother hiding ourselves. Every one uses their own voice, will get changed if they feel like it, and will go about their own hobbies in any spare time they may find (often times that is "found" by not doing other things, like the washing, lol!).

Around almost everyone else, they all "play" me so well that no one really notices. A few of them still have their little giveaways, like Amanda adding any gothic touches she can to whatever I'm already wearing, or Sally-Ursa (a little) being very affectionate and choosing to play with the kids rather then talk with the adults. But all that does is have people thinking I'm odd, rather then realising I'm not even there.
