Once you get a good understanding how it all works you can start and applay it on yourself. I would advise to start off slow . Get familiar with it, once you done that , you can look at other arias in your life you would like to improve. I have made the mistake to imidialtly try and handel the core issuius( witch are much more complex to handel then lets say fear of public speaking, fear of spiders whatever)
I aslo would advise you to give it a fair try, dont go quitting after trying it for a day saying this $#%^ doest work life is worthless

Have realistic expectations, say you handeld your fear of going to the mall by yourself, this doesent mean you will never feel frightend again in other aeras in your life . It means you can now likley be walking amoung poeple without the discomfert that your used to. If there are other aeras you have some irrational fear you can work and that too. Then that particular fear will vasnish as well . Its really up to you how far your willing to go
