Can we really be ourselves? or no matter how we really are will people never except us?

Being me is scary if people really knew me, the me from behind the door. behind the mask, everyone would run.

but what's really being ourselves, what others think we should be. isn't that how this world works ? we're never ourselves we're what we've seen other people be.
