Perhaps your son or daughter has already been diagnosed and you are now going through the difficult process of finding the right medication or treatment. Whether you are pre or post diagnosis, are you struggling to find a diagnosis or treatment for your child? Or have you been surprised by the support that’s already in place?

Popkorn TV is a UK production company with a track record in producing sensitive and thought provoking documentaries. We specialise in what we call “Socially Responsible” programme making and have made many series featuring young people with difficult backgrounds but with a forward focused outlook. We are currently developing a Channel 4 documentary about the diagnosis of bipolar disorder, depression, or other behavioural and mood problems in children. The programme will aim to raise awareness of the difficulties that parents face when dealing with a child with serious mood disorders, and seek to offer expert advice to both parents and children.

At this point we are looking for UK based families, and would like to speak to you in strict confidence. All families that get in touch will be treated with respect and sensitivity and no obligations or commitment to appearing in the documentary are necessary at this stage.
