I haven't done them in 13 years, but I used to do them a lot. Since no one else has responded, I will.

I took them for 16 years, off and on.

It ranged from a few times a week to once every year or two (towards the end of my taking them). For a while in the mid eighties it was pretty often, sometimes 3 or 4 days a week, sometimes a couple of days in a row.

Significantly worse. Back in the day it usually made me feel better for a while, but that feeling would eventually subside. I was happier back then than I am now. Overall, I was happier before I started taking psychedelics than I was after I started.

Good, interesting, your the first person I know to say that they have felt worse over longer periods of time.

Well, to tell the truth I don't know how much drugs have contributed to the overall unhappiness that I've been feeling lately.
There's been other factors, such as divorce, my long-time GF passed away almost a year ago, I've grown increasingly dissatisfied with my career, and have developed lots of minor physical problems. Also got screwed out of $20K, which was my retirement fund, earlier this year by some corporate a-holes (I'll spare you the details).

I feel like marijuana has made a positive impact on my life in general, but i don't feel that way about psychedelics so much. But then again, they probably have given me a broader outlook than a lot of people have, and maybe they've helped me appreciate such things as abstract art and bebop. Who knows?

The last time I tripped I just did not enjoy it very much. Didn't have a "bad trip", but just felt very anxious in general. I've developed a lot of stomach problems over the years, and would not take acid or peyote again due to that (maybe mushrooms again though, if the opportunity arose).

Psychedelics put me in a terrible state of mind nearly every time I have used them. Psychotic, split personality, paranoid, scared, nervous, whatever else. I'm a pretty weird and ###$ up person while on psychedelics, especially marijuana. The only pros I see to these drugs, for me, are A. Rarely I'll be able to enjoy myself. Typically when I'm in a 'high' state of mind instead of manic depression, I experience what people normally experience. Or B. The visualizations and deep thinking within my mind are unbelievably intense. Before quitting, my mind was able to produce extremely vivid pictures, (abstract, surrealism, realism) of color, quality, and quantity. These pictures weren't still pictures, they were usually videos or animation, there was always some sort of motion, whether it be to the beat of the music, or the motion of tentacles, or flying through a psychedelic tunnel. Watching psychedelic videos like the ones you find on youtube became extremely boring & dull after my mind started producing like this. The negatives always overcome the positives.
