I'm just like you, although I never get headaches and when I do i've never gotten sick from it, but I stress over it nonstop and think everything's going to make me sick even though it never does, and i know it's not a big deal, but it's so illogical and insane to feel this way for me and i get really stressed. sometimes i feel sick from being nervous but never actually get sick

I have the same problem, I used to think I was the only one. I'm close to 40 and I haven't vomited since I was 15. But I know where my phobia came from. I had a problem that paralyzed my larynx for a couple of days and I developed this phobia to choking. One day recently I drank a bit too much and I made the best to try to vomit, it was impossible despite that my body wanted it badly. I had a very bad time while pregnant.

That's why my doctor doesn't think it's a phobia for me because there isn't a specific event that triggered my fear. I've always had it but it never actually created anxiety until my OCD-like symptoms started. I know when those started, and I have the event that triggered my fear of vomiting narrowed down to 2 events, because I remember the day I started really being afraid and it just went downhill from there.

That's inspiring to me that you haven't vomited for 25 years! I'm almost 18 and I hope to never vomit again as long as I live. It's easier as an adult not to, I'm told.

I'm actually a little scared of vomit. It's not serious, but I tend to stay away from it, and I WILL NEVER clean it up, only if it was mine, but some times when I throw up, I will close my eyes, because it disturbs me in a frightfull way.

Yeah, it literally causes me fear. Like in a horror movie, gore is fascinating, but vomit I can't watch

Hey,
I'm sixteen also, and have a fear of Vomiting. Whenever I feel like I'm going to, I get paniced and I pray like nobodys busines. I am a chirstian, but I swear I never pray about anything else as despreatly as I pray to not vomit. I would seriously rather die than vomit.

When I was younger, I would get really sick throwing up at least once a year.

My mother says I don't like pinaple now because I got sick after eating it once.

I don't like milk, so once my mom mixed milk and juce together, hoping that I would drink it -- I guess that made me sick too. So for a while, eating cereal with milk, I was really cautious about drinking juce after milk was in my mouth.

My mother has a fear of vomiting too, though probably not as bad as mine.

No, you are deffinently not alone in this fear. But I think it might help to remind yourself that getting a headach doesn't mean your sick.

I get headachs a lot because I need reading glasses. I've never thrown up because of a headach. Just tell yourself that getting nervas won't help at all. Try to calm yourself down. Remember to breath. DO NOT think about vomiting, though it will probably be on your mind. It will only make things worse.

I know what I'm sugesting might be difficult, but please try.

I hope this helps, best of luck, and God bless,

Rachael

I was the same way when I was younger, getting sick a lot more, maybe that has to do with being a kid though.
