A delusion is a false belief that is not consistent with facts and does not alter with reason, or fit in with a cultural norm (what is considered normal in one culture might be considered delusional in another.)
An example would be a belief that the FBI are monitoring a person, or that the person is the subject of mind control experiments, or that their family is trying to poison them (that last one is only a delusion if the family isn't actually poisoning them!)
Generally, to be considered a delusion within a psychiatric framework, the beliefs or delusions must be impacting on a person's life. Some believe that the Titanic never sank; that it was in fact Titanic's sister ship, Olympic. That belief does not affect their congition or behaviour, and doesn't have much of an impact on their ability to function in life. It would not, therefore, be considered a delusion in psychiatric terms.
Delusions as part of a psychiatric illness are resistant to logic or evidence and nearly always have a profound effect on that person's quality of life. Your beliefs are not delusional at all.
