blindess and mental illness

I wd be interested 2 know from anyone who hs been in psychiatric hospital or met other people with mental illness. Anyone u know or hv seen with severe mental illness - eg schiz, bipolar who hs also been blind from birth. Jus something I've been curious about 4 a little while. and also posting this on bipolar section.

During my time in hospital, I have never encountered any blind person. Why have you been curious about this?

Thanx 4 replying. I just hd a hunch this ws the case and wondered if there ws anything in it. However, when I looked up how many people are statistically blind the proportion is tiny and that doesn't cover those blind from birth. Which probably explains why. Didn't realise this ws the case or wouldn't hv asked the question. sorry
