First of all, are you sure that you have Schizophrenia? If you have problems with your medication then you must tell this to your psychiatrist.

I am on a combination of risperdal celexa and zyprexa. I find that risperdal works best for my negative symptoms while zyprexa works best for my positive symptoms. Anyway, food for thought.

You need to let your doctor know that you are experiencing the negative symptoms still. They may have to increase your dosages.

Clozaril is only used in treatment-resistant schizophrenia, because of the side effects. I've been on it a few months now; can't say I've noticed much difference in negative type symptoms. It helps with the positive symptoms.

You're lucky in that they've picked up on the prodrome rather than full-blown psychosis. It is a matter of trying to find the right balance for you.

Can honestly say that physically I feel worse on Clozaril than on anything else I've taken in the past.

i underwent what seems to be a stage of negatve symptoms of schizophrenia, it's a living hell, so i know what you mean, i did not took anything, eventually the chemicals in my brain got better and now i can talk and $#%^.

do you feel like talking to yourself when you wrote the post? i knew i did, so anyways, im no doctor, i dont know if meds are better, i got a sense of how mental illness develop, however once they're there it's not like they're not real, i'm just talking from a non-medicine $#%^.
of course i might be BPD and that was just a stage- so people who are on it might be better at saying what combo etc.

my symptoms when i was like that, was i felt 'blank' inside, no motivation to move, i couldn't get off bed, not response wen someone talked to me, pretty much there's not much difference between that and melancholy IMO. cause is a state of mind rather than depression (which are frustations). g'luck.
